Description
Finpro PU HD is a pigmented, high build, UV resistant two-pack polyurethane coating designed to be used for wide range of substrates such as concrete, screeds, and epoxy resin systems. This superior product provides hard wearing, durable and abrasion resistant seal coat while exhibiting excellent gloss and colour retention in severe industrial and marine environments. Finpro PU HD is an excellent solution for projects that require excellent gloss and colour retention due to exterior exposure. The product provides chemical resistance to solvent, acid and alkalis, is hardwearing and assists in reducing tyre noise when exposed to vehicular traffic environments. Alvailable in clear and pigmented versions.

Application Instructions
Surface Preparation
The substrate must be sound, clean and dry to ensure optimal adhesion between floor coating and substrate. Remove surface laitance, contaminants, existing coatings and curing compounds via light grit-blasting or grinding to ensure suitable surface profile (CSP 2) has been achieved.
Prior to application the surface must be free of dust and other debris. To mechanically prepared concrete, it is recommended that the surface be primed with Finpro EP HS.
Repair imperfections such as holes and cracks where necessary. New concrete must be cured for 28 days prior to application.
Mixing
- Using an electrical low speed (400rpm) mechanical mixer, premix Part A until homogenous.
- Add the Part B (Hardener) to Part A (Base) and mechanically mix for 2 minutes, scrape down sides of vessel so no unmixed material remains and stir for further 2 minutes.
- Leave to stand for 2-5 minutes before application for best results. Mix only the required amount that is needed based on the pot life of the product (dependant on climatic conditions).
- To extend pot life place mixed product in smaller buckets or trays.
- Do not apply mixed material that is unused after 2 hours.
Sealer Application
Finpro PU HD can be applied by roller, squeegee or airless spray within 2 hours of mixing:
Roller/Squeegee
This method is compatible with Finpro PU HD, allowing application of even coats of mixed material to the prepared surface. Use a high-quality short nap roller for roller application and back-rolling.
For Smooth Finish
For Broadcast Non-Slip Finish
- Apply First Coat of Finpro PU HD at a coverage of 6 to 7 sqm per litre.
- Broadcast grit aggregate while the first coat is wet and let it cure overnight. Grit aggregate size depends on the grading requirement.
- Sweep off and remove loose aggregate.
- Apply Second Coat of Finpro PU HD at a coverage of 5 to 6 sqm per litre.
Aggregate size will dictate the level of slip resistance.
Slip Resistant Finishes
Slip resistance may also be increased via non-broadcast method by adding 60 or 80# Alumina Oxide to the final coat at 4% by volume.
