Description
Hydroc Micro Concrete is a non-shrink, self-leveling, cementitious structural micro-concrete (grout).
1 x 20kg
Application Instructions
Surface Preparation
Hydroc Micro Concrete must be applied to a clean surface free of contaminants. Bolt holes and fixing pockets should be free of dirt and debris.
Application Method
Priming
Hydroc Micro Concrete must be applied to a wet, puddle-free surface
Mixing
Use a low sheer mechanical mixer to ensure proper mixing
- Normal water requirement is 2.4 to 2.5L per 20 kg pail dependant on required viscosity.
- Place 2 litres of water in a clean mixer bucket. While stirring gradually add Hydroc Micro Concrete and mix thoroughly for 2-3 minutes.
- If necessary, add additional water, until a mix of the desired workability is obtained. Mix for a further minimum 1 minute. Use within 30 minutes.
Application
Placement is by either gravity flow or by pump.
- Mixed grout is poured one side of the void to avoid air entrapment
- Grout is best poured over short distances to ensure this.
- When pumping Hydroc Micro Concrete, a positive displacement pump is recommended
- To facilitate grout compaction, use tamping, rodding or flexible strapping
- Do not vibrate, as this will cause segregation
- Recommended thickness of Hydroc Micro Concrete in one pour is 20 to 50 mm
- Minimum thickness is 20 mm, maximum – in one pass is 200 mm
