Description
Mirahard is a potassium silicate formula designed to increase the hardness and abrasion resistance of concrete surfaces. When applied it reacts with the calcium hydroxide in the concrete to form a structure that increases the density of the surface. Mirahard is an integral part of the Mirafloor polished concrete system. It can be used to harden and densify concrete floors (with or without mechanical concrete polishing) as well as for micro-grouting.

Application Instructions
Surface Preparation
Before applying, ensure the area to be treated has been suitably prepared and is free of dust and contaminants. This will allow optimal penetration of the product.
Application Method
Mirahard is a premixed formulation with no dilution required. Thoroughly agitate the material in the pail prior to application.
Apply a liberal coat of Mirahard using an industrial pump sprayer, ensuring the product doesn? pool. Use a microfibre mop or soft broom to spread Mirahard evenly over the surface and to work it into the pores of the concrete, keeping the area wet for 20 minutes.
Mirahard should be reapplied until the concrete no longer absorbs it. At this point, allow a drying time of at least 8 hours before continuing with the polishing process or exposure to traffic.
